I am now up to the screen that is passed the WinXP splash screen and it is loading stuff. I'm reinstalling because my windows broke down and it kept restarting after the loading screen, i tried many fixes too and the last choice was to reinstall it. After several failed installs,(different faults each time), I changed my old 'Creative' CD drive for a new 'Philips' 5232 CD drive. Perhaps it was wrong. his comment is here

The common denominator for me was the all the pc's with issues had LG electronics cd,cd/rw,and dvd roms in them which for some reason cannot read the cd sent from MS.
